How are you doing as a human or parental juggler? Are you giving yourself the self-care you need and deserve? Many people forget to befriend, nurture or re-parent themselves even when they really need to. Let’s Talk  This recent tweet begs to be continued in a blog post. So here is my attempt at explaining myself and offering tips for you or someone who needs self-care.

We live in a multi-faceted, fast-paced world that eats us up and spits us out if we are not careful. We are at the mercy of hectic and seemingly unstoppable schedules, unless we carve out time to stop, smell the roses and take ourselves to a better and calmer place.

Rise Above Worry

Do you tend to worry about things? Do you think about what you have to do, didn’t do, imagine events yet to come, or worry about yourself or your loved ones? If so, you are not alone! Many people experience some degree of over-thinking which leads to emotional overload. Often times people obsess about things and events outside of their control and it is exhausting!

It is becoming a natural part of our society to live with increased speed, stress, over stimulation, and multi-tasking. Most of us are “plugged in” to the technology marketplace while others have opted to “opt out” and remove themselves from the maniacal grid. (more…)

There is no excuse for not taking care of yourself. For you to be your best self, you need to meet your own needs. This is your life and along with all others, your life matters. ” A Fool is one so foolish as to take care of everyone and everything else, and to forget about taking care of themselves.” For all of you ladies out there! Remember that you deserve your essential self-care and you are strong and are not weak. Because you give to others, including your children, partners, families, and work lives- you must replenish yourself. When confronting challenging situations, remember that if you fall, you can lift yourself up. If you get lost or falter, you can start again or ask for help.
