Between the entire presidential election process and at their final televised speeches, both contenders spoke their minds, showed their best cards and engaged in a formidable battle to the end. Neck in neck, as the battle drew its last breath, the conclusion was drawn. President Obama was re-elected and they were no longer opponents. In their speeches, President Obama and Mitt Romney both spoke of ending the party separation between us, as a political system working together, cooperating, not competing and getting our priorities straight. It was a striking heart-warming message, a cooperative, common sense approach and sign of the times: a peace-shifting for our country.
CNN reported on identifying and transforming blue and red states to purple states. The trend speaks about tearing down party divisions to begin working together for the greater good. That’s fabulous, great news!
The fall brings with it new beginnings for the year ahead. Why not learn from this presidential example, in our personal relationships, to just get along and get ahead? The idea is an important one for people in all relationships. Holding a win-win attitude, where everybody works for the common good with strong values at its core is a good thing. That attitude constitutes the American spirit, the human spirit, at its core.
It is powerful to recognize that our leaders are setting a good example for the rest of us! Hopefully, they will execute their job well over time with us in mind. It is also powerful to practice, both in politics and in real life, the ability to be flexible; let another point of view in and work together despite differences for all. So, I guess that people can learn from President’s and Presidential’s can learn from the people, too! Live Inspired!® Nina~ www.LiveInspiredwithNina.com
